Our Mission
DailyHistory.org's goal is to answer historical questions and help readers find the well-researched history. DailyHistory.org is at its core a wiki. All of the articles on this site will never be finished. Additionally, aside from a few Expert Booklists, all booklists will also be wikis. We hope to create a community of people who are interested in history and historical research. In addition, to our articles and booklists we will also have author interviews with current historians to help keep up on newest research being done.
The rules are simple:
- Every article answers a historical question because that is how historians approach the study of history. DailyHistory.org is not an encyclopedia, it is site that tries answer specific historical questions. Phrase the title of your article as a QUESTION and use a question mark.
- Booklists are focused on specific historical topics and are limited to ten books. Why ten books? By limiting lists to ten books it forces the writer to be more specific in their selections.
- Book reviews may be only be written about books that focus primarily on history.
- Everything needs to original. Do not use any copyrighted material in the articles, booklists, or book reviews you create.
If you have any questions you can send them to [email protected].
